Guest TurboCavGsi
If i decide to go for this alarm can i upgrade in stages, Buy the control panel and keypad first and use my current PIRs,contacts and alarm box? Im fairly sure the sensors arent manufacture specific but i just want to make sure.
Guest
I'd be inclined to change it all in one go as sods law applies. There's no technical reason why you can't mix detectors and panels as you please though.

Guest TurboCavGsi
If your detectors are working, why change them at all. But I would recommend a new outside unit if yours is a few years old. As long as they wont damage and work with the new unit then i will keep them for now but they are not the best to look at. When i come to change the PIR's what would you recommend that is reliable and wont false alarm?
ranger
As mentioned, You can mix detectors of different makes as freely as you like (within reason), but if you are going to go for a Texecom panel then i would just go for Texecom detectors, to make life easier Most are stylish and fit in well in most homes. If fitted correctly (its not hard ), then they seldom false alarm so are quite reliable. They should be easy to hold of for you to Ranger The above is my personal opinion and not that of my employer or anyone else.

ranger
If using Texecom, go for Prestige .... definately not Medusa .... Reflex are OK We use quad sensors as a minimum. Dual techs are better. Definately a dual tech for the garage. As i said The above is my personal opinion and not that of my employer or anyone else.
