Hello all,

I have recently moved into a flat with the above control panel installed prfessionally. Unfortunately the installer is on holiday for a while and i am having problems setting codes for the alarm. The standar 5678 code doesn't seem to do anything, the only code which activates the menu on the panel is 1234 which makes it say Set Engineer? - i don't know what this means, if i say yes the alarm says <exit now> if i press no it goes back to standby screen.

My question is how do i get past this, can i reset the alarm if the installer has enetered a different master code, what does set engineer mean, and why does it set the alarm when i say yes, and why do i get no more options when i press no?

anyone with any help would be great?

Thanks

I have to be careful how much information i give out as this is the public area and we cannot talk about engineer subjects here.

Basically it sounds like the panel has somehow reverted back to the orginial codes.

You need an engineer to come out and service the system as well as program everything into it as it is most likely back to default too. The engineer can then also show you how to work it.

Post your location here and someone on the board will most likely be near you.

Otherwise look for an installer in your yellow pages to come and help you. It doesnt need to be the people who installed it.

The above is my personal opinion and not that of my employer or anyone else.

I doubt it, it sounds like improveddc either doesnt know the master user code or has managed to change it accidentaly.

BTW improveddc, if your installer is on holiday and there isnt any cover then he doesnt sound very professional! Probably best of contacting an approved installer for taking over the maintenance.
