Just tipping my hat and saying hi.

18 months in the trade as a service eng for a national firm (clue is in the screen name :hmm: ) covering the very far frozen north.

Mostly doing intruder with the odd bit of cctv (the colour picture is a real novelty), access is very thin on the ground and moving into fire shortly.

Feel like I'm starting to get a handle on most of the stuff but you can never know too much so hopefully you folk will be able to fill in the gaps.

My previous is nearly 25 years in electronics and telecoms with the countrys No1 air to ground expolsive ordinance delivery company.

Hello, yeah definatly a nice friendly bunch of people on here. Virtually any security related question answered (with in the bounderies of the Community Rules of course), so if you have a question just ask, you may be pointed to an earlier topic if you ask a question which has already been asked so maybe a quick search just to make sure, saves the Admin dudes the headache of duplicate posts.

As many would say "Welcome to the Asylum", it's more like a Zoo though

Thanks for the welcome folks. Up at this ridiculous hour to head for the top of the country for a day of routine maintenance, possibly the most exhillerating part of the job, but then again, possibly not. :dozing:

At the time I left we didn't have too many going spare at all, George W seemed intent on making sure they were all being kept pretty busy. :plane:
