ranger Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 A bit of psychology Try telling an intruder that! I have fitted alarm systems before, and as I am not in a rush I can fit it in ways that an alarm engineer would not have the time to do. Just because you have fitted an alarm doesnt mean you know how an engineer works. A decent engineer will MAKE time. Any decent engineer will do the same. lol, stapled around the architrave and skirting it is then. Dont forget the cables under the carpet and along the stair case. Regards, Ranger The above is my personal opinion and not that of my employer or anyone else.
Guest Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 Last time i moved (rented) and had a new phone line installled the telecoms engineer said hes not allowed to drill thru walls only architrave`s and only staple to skirting boards, due to insurance limitations. So i ran the stuff myself after he had left. After asking him just to flylead the sockets and test them. When i left i billed the landlord for the time to run it properly, he laughed and gave me all my deposit back
