Guest Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 Opps i said texacom, Sorry Not a fan. That dont equate to a sorry. Oops forgot to add. Bin the resistors as Mr happy says. Will be easier for a non compliant system as yours is to fault find. If indeed it needs to be.
Guest Rutger Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 Thanks guys! I bet you can guess my next question! Which PIR's would the best for my needs? I guess the most difficult job for one would be to protect a front-to-back lounge diner with big windows both front and rear and an open log fire in the middle. Would I need Quads or something more 'specialised' or just a plain old new PIR. Any brand suggestions that would work well with a TS 700?
Guest Rutger Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 Oh dear, is that bad then? It won't be lit whilst we are out or even cooling down for that matter so would not be a problem as I can see it when the alarm is full set. Part set would be a problem when we are in bed as it would obviously be active then. Just though I would mention it! Does that mean I should avoid PIR's in the lounge then or just take that one out of the part set program?
Guest Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 big windows both front and rear and an open log fire in the middle. sounds quite posh you should get a proper frim in......... a decent dt should do the job
Guest Rutger Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 No not really posh.... a chalet bungalow. Any takers to come round and have a look. This is something I really should get done but by the sound of it, it could be a little bit of a false economy. I am based in Torbay, Devon.
breff Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 position the pir in one of the corners of the same wall as the fire so that it cant see it. The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)

Try setting it up as a fully working system on your work top in the garage you can test and experiment to your hearts content and when you feel confident wire the house !. Paul.
