Guest cardshark Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 hi every 1 iv got a problem with the control panel when i enter my code the the bell box goes of the tamper light stays on plus zone 1 stays on even though it is not connected 2 any thing
Guest Alarm Guard Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 The bell sounding when you enter the code is very strange.. The only thing I can think of is that you have by mistake gone into programming. Try pressing the reset button twice.
antinode Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 Having a zone appear as active even when there's nothing connected is not an unusual problem for the Veritas range, and usually means the PCB needs replacing. Especially given your other problems, this would seem the case. You will need the services of an engineer for this one, either way. Trade Member
Guest Alarm Guard Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 If he has gone into user programming and selected bell test, that would sound the bell and light up LED 1.....
breff Posted July 3, 2006 Posted July 3, 2006 Bet his code starts 051!!! The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)

Guest cardshark Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 Have you tried Alarm Guard's suggestion? yes. the bell box is flashing red 01 tamper light is still flashing
Guest Alarm Guard Posted July 4, 2006 Posted July 4, 2006 What you are saying now is different to your first description of the problem. I think it is highly unlikely that the panel is faulty, but it looks like you do have a fault somewhere on the system. My best advise would be to call in an engineer. If you don't get it sorted, there is a good chance that it will get worse and perhaps start sounding uncontrollably at 2am.... which will please your neighbours no end. Paul
