arfur mo Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 another thing to bare in mind, what ever gardtec tell you, everyfuse onthe board runs from the aux, therefor it is possible to have a fault on the rkp but it only blows the aux not the rkp fuse. sounds stupid i know but take my word for it, its true, i was very //.B.W.F.// off when i found out and could not understand the point of the other fuses. hi MAYCO, the G800 series had a 350 ma fuse on the keypad output, so would blow well before the aux fuse if shorted. its been dropped on later panels now relying on the aux fuse. i'd bet because not enough engineers carried enough spare 350's and fitted 1 or 2 amp instead hoping that would 'hold' then send the burnt out panel back for a warrenty repair with the wrong fuse still in place. some cheat on cable cores and use the RKP 12 volts for powering PIRs. not what i like to do best to keep a clean supply the the keypad so the client can stop the sirens. regs alan If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!
