dommer
I have a DIY alarm with an old bell box. It has no backup batteries inside, and I want to change it for one that does. My question is I live in an area that has a fair amount of power cuts. Will these set the bell off ? I don't want to upset the neighbours. Also after it is installed do they all generally have a feature that allows them to be switched off from inside the house if I need to open the panel for any reason ? , Dom. djrock
Hello, The power cuts should not set the bell off. What will set the bell off in a power cut is if the backup battery in the panel goes dead. Not sure what you mean by this Also after it is installed do they all generally have a feature that allows them to be switched off from inside the house if I need to open the panel for any reason ?, Dom. When you enter engineering mode in the panel it will not set the bell off. djrock
