marksandsparks Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 I've tried to make sense of previous posts but need an answer more directly to this question please. I know that alarm cable for PIR's shouldn't be run near mains cable. But does this also apply to the alarm cable for my magnetic contacts, keypads, external sounder and communicator? If so I've dropped a clanger.
morph Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 Yes. You should keep all cabling away from mains cables. Minimum distance 30cm.
Guest Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 Yes. You should keep all cabling away from mains cables. Minimum distance 30cm. Well, not all cabling, just low voltage. Alarm, data, telephones, TV\satellite, doorbell etc.... And it's 300mm, not 30cm.
