jizzer Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 Hi, From a thread a few months back you installed the R200 DVR from rf concepts I was just wondering how this unit performed you said it had loads of features what about the recording quality etc... any feedback
baywatch Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 We have installed many of these now. Customers seem happy with the image quality & features easy unit to network. Only glitch we have found is an interminant audio if using motion detection. RF are investigating this with the manufacturer.

baywatch Posted July 21, 2006 Posted July 21, 2006 Thanks for the advice. No the problem is as follows: Camera No1 has audio & records perfectly when triggered by motion detection, absolutely no problem with video or audio. Camera No2 has no audio, but if the motion is triggered here while camera No1 is recording then the audio on camera No1 goes intermitent, video records as normal. I think its a glitch in the software.

baywatch Posted July 22, 2006 Posted July 22, 2006 This is a budget unit used for small domestic installations. You do only get what you pay for which is why I was reorting the glitch to the enquirer.

dsw Posted July 24, 2006 Posted July 24, 2006 Hi, I purchsed one of these dvrs around 6 months ago. Had no end of problems with it. In the end i got sunkwang to send me a lead and firmware upgrade from korea. That was fun believe me. The unit wouldn't even do a time search, or play back without freezing or rebooting before the firmware update. The USB backup facility is usless and only works 5 times out of 10. Other from that, record quality is average. Would seriously think twice about buying one again as cop and dynamic dvrs seem to perform much better for around the same price.
