Guest Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 Hello Joe, I feel a bit like you at the moment ( I guess..). I am in Sweden at the moment trying to fault find Siemens S7 system after "some" lightning. It took me a day to find out that EVERYTHING has gone. Pretty clear to say afterwards but as I didn't have ANY experience before with this system (not mentioning Profibus DP bus) and nothing to compare my multimeter readings with - nor had I any drawings which would tell me how the systems has been constructed physically - I must say I have been a "bit" lost (silly that someone is really paying me for this.. ) . So save yourself a bit money by working harder in the job you are pro and leave your alarm system for competant alarm engineer. (Besides your panel is antique - replace it)
