Darren Cooper Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 British Telecom are upgrading there networks to the new 21st Century Network and have changed the line specification. THIS WILL AFFECT ARC TRANSMITTING DEVICES. 21CT network is under tests but will be rolling out across the entire network later this year. 21CT is expected to introduce a delay to the signal between the ARC and communicator by a maximum of 85ms. But the standard for uk telephone systems has been increased to a maximum of 300ms. The ARC receiver manufacturers,Bold and Sur-Guard, have spent time adjusting their systems and testing vaious products to see if they still fuction. OK this timing change can effect the Digital communicator's but the signals will still be recieved. Cooper Security Products have all been tested and passed. Just be aware guys ! DIGI's may not be the best option! The views above are mine and NOT those of my employer.

Nova-Security Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 I thought we had covered this in another topic a long time ago, i suppose it is Menvier who posted who were very late out with their EN Graded panels Couldnt resist on the EN panel lateness. www.nova-security.co.uk www.nsiapproved.co.uk No PMs please unless i know you or you are using this board with your proper name.

Smart Electrics Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 You will see no difference with regards 21c network compared to POTS the transmission of signaling will be the same.

Darren No problem, i agree on technical advice fair point, dont take it the wrong way. On another thing, why was coopers way behind with their EN panels, i remember a menvier rep trying to get us away for galaxys must be about 10 years ago, now he is one of our account managers. www.nova-security.co.uk www.nsiapproved.co.uk No PMs please unless i know you or you are using this board with your proper name.
Guest ALSEC Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 How many returns have menvier (not cooper) had on their panels by comparison to other manufacturers that can be directly attributed to //.B.W.F.// ups with EN software?? I suspect the answer (far less) may be because menvier took more time making sure it was right before releasing it??
