Guest bluesnapper Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 I have an OPTIMA XM6 but there is a fault with the system. The panel beeps, usually just a single beep. Over the last few days the beep is getting weaker. I have changed the battery so its not likely to be that unless its dud too. Any ideas?

Whats your charge voltage and day mode current The POWER and the DAY lights are lit up. Someone did suggest to me it maybe the SERVICE mode could be activated or it may just need powering down, so the panel can 'reset' itself, from the electrical side and disconnecting the battery and leaving it for a bit before powering back up again.
Guest Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 Im not being funny, are you certain its the panel, and not either a smoke detector with a low battery or a digital watch or something youve forgotten about near the panel. As far as i am aware the XM6 didnt have a service reminder facility, and faults just show on the panel they dont bleep if I remember correctly. Double check with the smoke detector thing etc etc
morph Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 Is the beep random? are you sure its the panel not a battery or mains operated smoke detector? What condition was the battery in when you removed it?

The beep is getting weaker and not as regular as it was when it first started. DNS, where are you based in this fair city?
