Hi, this is my first post. Hope someone can help.

I have a veritas 8, and today, my girlfriend entered the house, beofre disabeling the alarm (Which is in the porch).

Now none of the detectors are working i.e. not "blinking", and when i set the alarm it beeps 10 times then doesn't set. However the zones with detectors in are now lit up.

The manual says that the mains is off and the power light is flashing. Neither of those is true the mains is on and the power light is on constantly.

Help please, I can't sleep tonight without my alarm on.

Thanks

Sounds as though you have a blown Aux fuse, itll need replacing.

Aux fuse???

Sorry I'm a novice, how and where?

Is that just the normal 3amp fuse (bit like the ones you get in plugs)??

cheers for the fast reply

Its inside the control panel and labelled as F3, and should be a 20mm 500mA fuse rated at 250 volts.

Its smaller than the fuse you would find inside a plug.

1) When replacing a fuse always observe the specified rating and type - failure to do so is

dangerous and will invalidate the warranty. Fuses should comply with IEC 127.

Hi I only have an F1 & an F2 ???

Am I blind??

F1 in the bottom left, and F2 in the middle slightly left of the main red light

Sorry didnt realise you had the older (pre 2000) version, its F2 then and should be a 1amp 250v 20mm fuse.

You may be lucky and just get away with replacing the fuse but its more than likely blown for a reason, only replace with the same value fuse and if that blows you`d best call an engineer to find the fault.
