Think you need to call an engineer in, how about the firm that installed?

Trying things just to see if they work is no solution, without all the facts that a site visit would reveal it will be dificult to resolve further. Trying to d.efault a panel is a waste of time unless you know how to program and set the system up correctly.

Mr Alarm guard is correct trying things is not the solution

we can only give pointers in the right direction so listed below is a pointer only and before you try or attempt to do any thing your self from the sound of things you NEED an engineer

Zone programing RF detectors Group#1

from programing mode #1 tells the panel to look for RF detectors

the next digit 1-8 is the RF detectors zone no

the next 9 digits are the detector peramiters

first digit (1) is supervision second digit the loop no (1 or 2) the last 7 digits are the serial no for the detector

if zone 8 is a wireless detector then the panel will see a low batt from the supervision part of the RF detector

if zone 8 is a panel zone and is set to 24 hour tamper what is it looking at

you cannot alter any of the above without the eng.code and the programming book and should not be attempted unless you feel fully competent to do so or you could end up altering your whole system and possibly rendering it uselessso if after changing the battery on zone 8 makes no different you have no option but to CALL AN ENGINEER

and now i'm probbably going to get moand at for giving out too much info

Life is like a box of choclates.....if you dont get there first your left with all the naff ones

zone 5 fitted to garage door....magnetic reed contact

zone 6 is set to tamper, when activated reports trouble with radio equipment

zone 7 is set to tamper, when activated reports a tamper with radio equipment

zone 8 is set to tamper, when activated report radio battery is low and reqs replacing

this is what is on the paperwork i have

if it helps the radio kit is a visionic power code class v transmitter and reciever

you need a new company to take care of your security monitored or not. fool that made you that kind of system should be sterilised so that stupidity wouldn't spread too far. i am sorry but you, sir, have wasted your pences..

and i am not :ranting: it is wireless..

do you not think that a tamper reset has been set up in options for engineer code only...i think the enginers code is not on the default as i have tried this......if i power down and reset default codes it may work......only problem is how to default ( i know what buttons to press) but how do you power down when battery back up kicks in......if i pull out the fuse to the board it shows power cut and sounds internal sounder????????

As previously suggested, you need an engineer.

Defaulting information is not something we can discuss. This topic may be closed if the anti-wireless ramblings\I wat to default my panel continues.
