Problem With Aplique 6/14

I have a DA Detection Systems Aplique 6/14 with 5 hard wired PIRs and a Decibell External Sounder.

After giving me 8 years of faultless service, the system has reported POWER TRBL on the Key Panel. I am unsure what this is likely to mean, as the system reports SUPPLY TRBL when mains supply is lost.

The system now refuses to set (When this is attempted, the external sounder goes off). I have swapped out the sounder batteries, as they were not holding up the sounder for longer than two seconds, but this hasn't changed anything.

All internal fuses are intact. The control box battery hasn't been changed since the system was installed, but is holding 13V when disconnected from the system.

Should I start by swapping out the battery as it is well past its sell-by date?

If you have a test meter do a load test, in other words test the battery voltage when the mains is off and the battery is powering the system.

Power touble is failed battery when was the last time you had it serviced?

Let me guess, 8 years ago?

Guilty as charged :)

Thanks for the steer. I'll report back if this sorts it.

I was starting to worry, as the manual made no mention of this particular report.

Sounds like might also have a problem with the sounder as well, what bell box is fitted?

A new Yuasa has been fitted and the system is up and running again.

Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it.
