Hello,

I have a scantronic 9800+ system in my house. The internal sounder alarm went off on numreous occassions last night, but stopped when I put in my user code.

The rp (remote keypad fault) is flashing on the LED dsiplay and the service and fault lights are on.

Can you please tell me how i can disconnect the keypad from the system, and stop the internal sounder and external bell going off.

Is it possible to remove the keypad (and disconnect the system) without permanantly setting off the alarm?

The alarm system is unset, but still the internal sounders are going off.

I stay in the Falkirk area (Central Scotland). Unfortunately the original service engineer has retired, and I do not know which company to contact now.

cheers,

Colin

We cannot tell you how to disable your alarm for obvious reasons - it may simply be in need of a new battery; contact a local installer.

Please note that if you disconnected your system, your external sounder is battery backed up, and may sound independently, even with the rest of the system powered down.

 I agree with alarmgard, you need to have an engineer look at it.
