imperium Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Does anyone has the software for DVR card "Thakral AVE6000NQ"? I have the software which I got with the card but it makes me the problems. There is a big possibility that the problem has some connection with the licence. The card has good specifications (it is also not cheap) so I would be very thankful to everyone who could help me to solve my problems. Thank you! Best wishes!
Guest Director of COP Security Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Hi Sounds like a Geovision Product you could try http://www.avermedia.com/ Hope that helps Chris
akpak Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Have you spoken to the company that you purchased from? Do you have the latest version/update of the software you currently have? Alan http://www.pakatak.co.uk
Guest Peter James Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 Chris Y3K use Geovision cards will the above software work with their cards? I have a couple of Y3K machines that crash on a hourly basis that I could use as loan machines if I could rely on them. Pete
imperium Posted August 22, 2006 Author Posted August 22, 2006 The company that sold us these cards answered us that there is just that software for these cards that we already have. Meanwhile, later we found out that this software probably has some problems with the licence. The problems are as follows: freezing the system without any reason or upon starting the recording, freezing the system when the storage drive is full (the function of automatic overwriting is turned on) etc. Could you give us some idea for solving our problem?

This might seem like a stupid idea, but if you bout them from a company and they say that there is only one type of software for the cards you have (the software they supplied) then the only source for a cure would be to go back to them, if the product and software does not work, then ask them to sort it out or to give you your money back.

They should offer support on the software if they have sold it to you, if they refuse to support I'd request a refund and purchase some less problematic kit (make sure the software is fully licensed). imperium Posted August 22, 2006 Author Posted August 22, 2006 We made the mistake because we bought those cards from unreliable supplier. This supplier doesn't give us any support so we have to solve the problem by ourselves. If someone can give us some idea, who has some experience with these cards or someone who has the correct software for them, we would appreciate that. When we ordered these cards, we were attracted by their specifications. If it would be helpful, we can send you the photo of this card to your email address. We can't upload it here.
baywatch Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 Hi Sounds like a Geovision Product you could try http://www.avermedia.com/ Geovision cards and Avermedia cards are different. If you think they are pirated cards report them to the manufacturers. You can download all the geovision software from http://www.geovision.com.tw/english/5_0.asp but it will be the latest version & will probably not work with older cards. For Avermedia go to http://www.avermedia.com/nvd/download.asp Let us know how you get on ?
