felsteaduk Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 Can anyone explain how I remove a zone from my Optima XM? I have tried disconecting the 2 wires going in to the control box from the appropriate zone but when I re-set the sytem it still has them going off. This is because I have a fault on a wire in that zone and am having to omit that zone everytime I set it until I can get to the wires under the floorboards. Thought this would be a short term fix to that.? Any help would be greatly appreicated
felsteaduk Posted August 30, 2006 Author Posted August 30, 2006 When you say a loop between the 2, is that between the zones? I am taking out zone 3 so I still have zone 4 in place. I just removed the 2 wires going into the zone on the control panel, following the diagram. This did not work, I just got the same problem. Where do I make this link? Thanks for the help
sparkyred Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 Try deprogramming the zone using the engineer code. this will be in your manual under program setup. If you dont have the code contact your installer to do this.
