The amount of spam from China is incredible (Taiwan & Korea was bad enough) there must be loads of companies trying it on over there.

I know some people don't like the DM sprites, but I have used them for most installations so far, for DVR. I have not had any bother with them. I built a PC and stuck in a DVR card. It was ok ... ish. It needed to be restarted every now and then. I also had to reinstall windows twice over about 18 months and just recently replace the unit with another Sprite.

I would not go PC dvr. In my experience its not worth the trouble. BTW looking atm for another 16 channel sprite 2, If anyone has one lnocking around..

Depends how good you build the computer & the spec.

We have fitted many PC systems for at least 6 years.

The 1st digital system we fitted (which was used to prosecute 2 murderers successfully) used a card with PIR detectors to capture a few imagesat a time.
