ian.cant
right is after an internal one...around 140db 4+ times louder than a MB you sure? Pretty sure but not 100%, may have been 130db but certainly no less. It used to disorientate me if i was too close when it was on the go! For some reason Securicor had a spell when it was all they used up here, but it was a good unit, slightly better than the Elkeons we had a load of installed for some reason. Aritech sounder didnt rust the Elkrons did being Italian.
Guest xt600
thanks Happy....wheres the cheapest place to get hold of one?
bellman
The master balster is a tad expensive....more than the panel! A 12v sounder which can be easily fixed into the ceiling would be best.... It's not a cheap unit, but it's aimed more at the industrial market. the other sounders shown are also not cheap units any one of them can be ceiling mounted. Regards Bellman Service Engineer and all round nice bloke ) The views above are mine and NOT those of my employer.
avcctv
this one?or this? 1st one is 3 times louder than 2nd one Would the first one be a white noise generator? The older I get, the faster I was.
arfur mo
Gardtec do a combined strobe/screamer realy noisey in a room and dis orientating if left on too long. you even more sound? - go for sound bombs point at reverberating surface like a sheet of ply wall if possible works like a sound board. makes you eyes water and ears bleed stuick a couple in and it's madness even more sound, stand in street, wait for scroat with large base sounds eminating from fiat panda - mug him. regs aalan If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!! norman
Would the first one be a white noise generator?Yup, when doubled with smoke and a strobe, they are very good. Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool.
whistle
We commissioned 4 Elmdene sounders on one domestic today all internal with tiled or wooden floors all through the house. Loud it did my head in after about 10 seconds. But we fitted a grade 3 psu and a rio just for the sounders.

The Aritech internal sounder is very good...and very loud
j.paul
The Aritech internal sounder is very good...and very loud Normally fit the Hosiden Besson Bandit which is 108dB @ 1m but only pulls 70mA. Not as loud as some, but low current and looks better than the sound bombs There are no stupid questions, but there are a LOT of inquisitive idiots.
