I'm thinking of picking up a cheap laptop for putting all my manuals onto (would take forever to print them all out). Would possibly be using it for internet access and a bit of word processing but not much else. As I know nothing about 'em, can anyone recommend me something decent that won't break the bank? Budget is about

Hi

Are you going to mobile with the laptop? if you have the space and you are not going mobile I'd recommend a desktop/tower pc.

At least with a pc you wont be dropping it and if you spill coffee all over your keyboard you only have to replace the keyboard rather than the laptop. You can also upgrade or repair the pc cheaply, as long as you dont buy one with a proprietory case.

You will be a bit limited to buy a decent pc or laptop for
