bellman Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 thats a serious panel mate, and if you dont know that, your going to have some serious issues with it Agreed, thats a high end panel I'd consult the manual, it will explain all. If you haven't got a manual then write to the manufacturer with proof of trade status and they will be happy to advise you further. Regards Bellman Service Engineer and all round nice bloke ) The views above are mine and NOT those of my employer.
Nova-Security Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 If you cant work out the bell box connections, give up as the a 520 is a serious piece of kit. www.nova-security.co.uk www.nsiapproved.co.uk No PMs please unless i know you or you are using this board with your proper name.
Guest Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 If you cant work out the bell box connections, give up as the a 520 is a serious piece of kit. The Galaxy is a serious piece of kit, but in it's simplest form of 16 on board zones, it isn't that bad is it? Why you would buy a Galaxy in this application would be puzzling. Not sure about that Sounder but simply 12v and ov in the 12v and ov connections. The bell and strobe triggers go into outputs. These are programmed in menu 53 and should be programmed as "BELLS" and "STROBE". You could also program strobe as confirmed instead, this way the strobe will only go on a confirmed alarm. Alternatively you could install a big ugly red zit of a lamp on the front of your bellbox like Secom do! The tamper goes into the tamper connection on the far right hand side of board, this should be a neg return. If your bell has a tamper loop then there is a handy 0v nearby. Regards Dave
mjw Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 Will you lot stop dissin my fave panel they are a good panel and yes the 520 is a serious bit of kit,BUT if you can use a 16 or 16 + you should be able to wire any sounder/siren into any galaxy panel,as they are all sort of the same That is if you have used one before??????? ...if not honeywell run some great training courses B)
