Guest xt600 Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 I have a cpx panel, one rakonet dualtec pir, two rakonet shock sensors, one reed contact. All are wired on seperate zones. Have used 6k8 and 4k7 resistors and selected eol in program options. When i try to set the alarm, i get 'tamper fault zone 9'.....anyone know what is causing this?
techmandan Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 how many zones alltogether are you using? make sure any unused zones are programmed "not used"
Guest xt600 Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 how many zones alltogether are you using?make sure any unused zones are programmed "not used" I am using 4 zones only, one for each detector. I can't find anywhere in the zone options to disable the other zones. Do you know how i can disable unused zones?
james.wilson Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 stick a 4k7 resistor in them. But i would think you could disable them. securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.

techmandan Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 have you got the manuals for the panel, as it will tell you how to do it in the programming section. try looking for change the zone type.

In the zone options you can change to 12h, 24h, e/e, access, panic, alert, fire, monitor, line fault, etc etc....but no option to disable/turn off! Does anyone know where i can turn zones off?
techmandan Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 in the options for programming does it give you options like 1 for 12h 2 for 24h 3 for e/e????? if so try 0 for not used???
