Guest ucool Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 Hi guys, please help me my alarm has gone crazy!!! Its a compact SL. The code used to be 0305 but since the power got turned off i dunno its always been 0123. I came back to my house after a month of not being here and the thing was making a crazy noise (the control panel). Not the siren noise of the alarm but like random beeps and all the zone red lights and tamper were on. I cant reallye xplain the situation but basically this is what happens now. 1) the keypad doesnt seem to do anything, 0123 does not set or reset the alarm 2) holding the reset button turns the sound off, however, if you move infront of any sensor the thing goes crazy again and u have to press reset 3) the thing beeps every 10 minutes with a loud BEEP, (does that mean the battery is flat?) 4) SOMEHOW IF I TURN THE TRIP OFF THE THING IS STILL POWERED - HOW?! IT NEVER USED TO DO THIS!!! How can i f**k this thing once and for all the beeps are keeping me awake Thanks! JB

JB well it sounds to me like your panel has defaulted itself probably due to a power cut and the backup battery is duff. when was the system last maintained.i would suggest you post your location and im sure someone on here is near you.it could be that the panel is now faulty due to the battery damaging the charging circuit.i would definately get a proffesional in the check the system out. pete .................
