kka Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 sorry fastcar did not know that, i must have only used the newer panel. there you go we are always learning thanks. i agree with you the best solution is to reinstate the circuit on zone one, rather than link it out, if indeed there was a circuit on zone ( the panel in this case would seem to say there was) Thanks for all your help with this guys. I('ll take a look at the panel when I get a moment. By the way, in order to replace PIRs (using existing wiring in place), is it necessary to remove power from the panel first? Thanks again same info as before about the mains it is always safer to work on a circuit that is dead, no voltage (even 12volts dc), remove one of the wires form the the aux 12v power supply(supplying the particular pir) before changing pir. warning - as little as 50 mille amps directly across you heart can kill you Kevin Scott. Guest Posted September 22, 2006 Posted September 22, 2006 What you have all missed is if zone 1 was the entry/exit cct. Hes in for a shed full of trouble to try to set and unset if its linked out.x Just an observation.
kka Posted September 23, 2006 Posted September 23, 2006 very good point paul, the guy knows what to do now, but has being strongly adviced to reinstate circuit one by yourself and fastcar, and your post is the reason why.
