south_side Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Hi all I have just installed this system in my house and I was wondering if there was anyway of getting a confirmation signal that the alarm had been set ? I have seen with a friends system which is an Abacus system that when he arms the system and leaves the house, the strobe in the bell box flashes to indicate it has been set. Another question I have is that should I use the bell in SAB mode or not ? I just want your opinions Thanks
Guest Peter James Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 You need to give more information, like what panel you are using would be a good start. Pete

Guest rjbsec Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 You need to give more information, like what panel you are using would be a good start.Pete Scanny9651 Plus Odessey3 The 9651 can be programmed to have the strobe confirmation on set.
Guest Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Use the outputs as configured, then prog output 3 as strobe set and wire in series with the strobe output.
Guest Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Wire from ouptut 2 to output 3 to oddessy 3 strobe input...............one line in series whats parallel about it? :!:
Guest Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 click me Series, one thru other single link. Parallel, double cores. Strobe is a neg trigger, thats all, a set to strobe for ten seconds requires no second core.
south_side Posted September 27, 2006 Author Posted September 27, 2006 on way The panel is a Scantronic 9651 just to confirm
Wooly-bobs Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 Done this today Set o/p 3 to strobe set. Command 83, set value to 11 As others have said, connect O/P 2 AND O/P 3 to strobe trigger
