Rich Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 I ordered the antenna below but it has a RP-TNC connector, does anyone know where I can get a plug or adapter for this plug, I have contacted wirelesspro and they seem a bit clueless on the subject! http://www.wirelesspro.co.uk/product_info....products_id=411 The plug I am after looks like the left plug on the very bottom image, as you can see this guy had to make it I am still waiting to hear back from wirelesspro but I'm not hopeful, if they don't have the connection I am shocked that they sell this product that doesn't connect to anything and they state that it has a rp-tnc as one of the plus points
ian.cant Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 RS or maybe even maplins would be my best bet!

Guest Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 CPC in Preston may have something suitable, do a google search for them.
Rich Posted October 2, 2006 Author Posted October 2, 2006 RS or maybe even maplins would be my best bet! Tried both, neither have them The plug I am after looks like the left plug on the very bottom image, as you can see this guy had to make it hi Rich, i guess you tried Maplins so it's DIY time if u got 30 mins to spare http://www.nodomainname.co.uk/RP-TNC/rp-tnc.htm Dabs.com or henrys audio might be a 'wild card' as they keep a good range regs alan That was the link I meant to post about the guy making it id check here http://www.vitelec.co.uk/ , will have a good look, a quick look doesn't reveal one though CPC in Preston may have something suitable, do a google search for them. Nope, tried CPC, RS, Maplins I could chop the plug and use something standard but if the antenna is no good I cant then send it back I suppose. Very irritating, but thanks for the replies so far, I have the feeling I would have more luck searching the holy grail

Guest Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 I know it sounds daft - do a search for HAM radio shops - some of these connectors are used in microwave links above 1.3ghz etc, might be worth a try, you wont loose anything other than time, DIODE Comms do some specialist connectors, have a mouch around.
Rich Posted October 2, 2006 Author Posted October 2, 2006 i had a look mate but i couldnt see an example of what you needed, if i did i might know what it is? Hope the owner doesn't mind linking his image but his site is www.nodomainname.co.uk The plug on the right is called a Reverse polarity TNC plug, the one on the left is what it requires. I know it sounds daft - do a search for HAM radio shops - some of these connectors are used in microwave links above 1.3ghz etc, might be worth a try, you wont loose anything other than time, DIODE Comms do some specialist connectors, have a mouch around. , will add it to the search.
