In the process of fitting a Menvier TS 2500 to my home & would like to fit some fire detectors... there are so many to choose from !!!

Which one's would be the correct ones to choose.....!

Any links etc or advice would be great from those who know

One of our engineers said that optical would be the best to choose but there are a few varients of optical - could someone clear the jargon?

Many thanks in advance

Matt

Texecom do some good ones, smart looking to.

Optical for use on escape routes. Its all do to with size of smoke particals.

Get some Hochikis / apollos, with Relay bases, failing that A2Z or Texecoms as mentioned above.....

Or if your putting a 2500 in then you will know enought to bang a full fire alarm in, he he:)

Jargon

Optical best for detecting large particles of smoke produced by a slow burning fire,or as mentioned in escape routes as the smoke will have travelled and cooled.

Ionisation best for fast burning fires which produce a very thin smoke.Keep clear of rooms near kitchens.
