Which one's would be the correct ones to choose.....! Any links etc or advice would be great from those who know One of our engineers said that optical would be the best to choose but there are a few varients of optical - could someone clear the jargon? Many thanks in advance Matt Jargon Optical best for detecting large particles of smoke produced by a slow burning fire,or as mentioned in escape routes as the smoke will have travelled and cooled. Ionisation best for fast burning fires which produce a very thin smoke.Keep clear of rooms near kitchens.
