Problem With Scantronic 9751

Hi all

I was wondering if anyone could be of any help. I have been helping a friend who has just moved house. I have rewired his house and the last job he wanted me to do was to move the Scantronic 9930 keypad which controls a 9751 alarm panel to a different location. A code for the panel was left but when this is inputed into the keypad the alarm doesn't set but goes into installer mode ! So I presume he's been left the engineers code by mistake. I need to know how to set up a new user number for him. I have downloaded the user manual from the net but this is of little use. I know you guys don't give out Engineer/Installer manuals but I was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction to obtaining one. I do not know who installed it and can not now get user code from previous owners. I have some experience with alarm panels but obviously need the correct manual. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

there is a way of reseting the user code/engineer code to the default one. But what you really want is an alarm company to look after the system. They would come out to check that everything is OK and have 24/7 on call engineer in case something goes wrong in the future and they need advise in the middle of the night.

cheers,

Alex
