Scantronic 9600 Help Needed

Sorry if this is a basic question but I have only recently moved into the house and I'm still a little bit new to the alarm system.

The alarm system "Scantronic 9600" has been fine until last evening when there was a disruption to the mains electricity supply for over 6 hours. The electricity supply was reinstated at 1pm this morning at which point the alarm sounded.

I couldn't stop the alarm by using my normal code however, after approx 10 - 15 mins it stopped of it's own accord.

When I've look at it this morning and tried to set it, it would only accept the default code 1234 and not my normal user code - I have been able to reinstate my user code, reset the time, date, etc. but now when trying to set the alarm it informs me that there are "No Zones in Area" no matter what area I choose.

It seems to me that the alarm has re-set itself to default, is this normal?

How do I now set-up the zones?

Is this something which I can fix myself or do I need to call in an engineer?

Any help would be appreciated - Thanks in advance.

Regards

David

Oh dear, what it looks like has happened, because it's accepting the default code, is the panel has fully reset that is why it's showing "No Zones in Area" when you try and set it. I would definatly call in an engineer as it sounds like the system will need fully reprogrammed and the faults checked out. I would look at the log to see what it says and post what the errors it show are, I believe it's menu 9 to get view the log then A / B to scroll up / down.

If you post your area Im sure someone will be able to help you out as the Scantronic panels are pretty robust.

Sounds like its totally defaulted as stated above, probably due to a faulty battery.

The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct!

(Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)

 code keep pressing no untill view log is on display press yes, 1 & 3 to go back & forth
