Guest Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 Oops and also has a voltage free switch inbuilt so you wont need another psu. Timers to also limit the screen drop and rise. Did i mention remote control?
Guest Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 Read this:http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=217749 Something to do with the resistance in the coil. Not with what i just supplied you with.
Red Fox UK Posted November 2, 2006 Author Posted November 2, 2006 Not with what i just supplied you with. What did you provide me with exactly? The switch is not voltage free, the current switching takes place at it - as with your house lights. Red Fox | Hosting Affordable and Reliable UK Based Web Hosting
james.wilson Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 you 12v source is obviously low current, inore your 4.7 K thing. You need a transitorised relay or t relay. TK make one as do castle etc. You will then use the contacts from this to driver your 12v coil 240v contact relay. I would advise you fit a timer to both postions though after switch over as its not a good idea to rely on your safety cutout, and driver permanently James If you need and you let me know what the source is coming from ill do you a diagram Last time i did this was to make the screen work off a fob, so i guess thats what your trying, or is it off the projector securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.

arfur mo Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 Yikes - they do loads of relays according to the website; not sure what Im looking for to be honest.I do know that some require an additional 12v power supply as 4.7kilohms wont trip it, hoping to find one where I dont need anything other than the 12v 4.7kilohms trigger. ADI - Gardiner Security, or most security stockists, ask for a 'Handy Relay' fitted with the larger cased relay. regs alan If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!

Red Fox UK Posted November 2, 2006 Author Posted November 2, 2006 Thanks, I can buy a relay board that will do that - but what I am trying to is achieve the same thing without having to use the 12v PSU. Red Fox | Hosting Affordable and Reliable UK Based Web Hosting
