Thx guys.....Good advice.......I'm being told to use CRT by numerous suppliers!!!

I thought about putting the DVR in a case along with 5A disty board(enclosed) to feed cameras...That way when using shotgun cable its clean and tidy to terminate........This cabinet will then sit in directors office and is totally self enclosed....We are looking at a very large building so the chances are they will want to relocate viewing point at some time ....hence its portable!

I will use an APC DVR which has fan on it and the case will be 10u size so hopefully airflow will not be a major problem

Cable runs are about 60-80mtrs and I will use varifocal 3.5-8mm dc drive CS mount dome cams.

Job will be done on weekend as its an office....due you charge double time for this?

CRT everytime for me. You never get the same picture on a LCD. I have got all our cameras modulated and the best pic is on the bedroom and kitchen tv. Beats the laptop LCD and the 42" LCD HD TV in the front room every time.

cheers

Dave

i have no contract anyway so theres not much he could do if he wanted to,

You should legally have a contract........ take him to court to get a compo pay out to help with the cost of settting up :P

we do lots of work for local housing/council and all our DVRS are in a lockable cabinet, it has fans built in to it to keep the dvr cool works fine.

We have a lockable cab where i work which houses all of our cctv, it also has a fan on it but its bloody noisy............can't see a director wanting that in his office................

Hmm...thats what I thought.......BUT i will also house the camera supply housing inside cabinet so a fan option is really a good idea......

What cabinets can you recommend.......? Preferably a "noiseless" one!!
