Audio On Internal Cctv

ok i have to have 6 x 100 v line driven horns connected to an addpro fast trace, and i need a good quality amp to do this, can you direct me to a supplier or could you help with me obtaining one?

forgot to sat 20 watts each

ok, presumably this is to use audio from a central station?

Is the amp going to be accesible or in a rack/cupboard etc?

I say that because if its accesible you will want an amp that either has lockable controls or can be engineer set, with no user controls.

a few years back i went to a site with an audio problem and it was simply that the levels had been turned down (site staff maybe assumed it was the radio or something and started tampering!)

There are loads of products out there that will do the job. Assuming you are using speech horns, i doubt you will need to tap any of them higher than around 10w so a 60w TOA mixer amp (1061) or something will do nicely (it has accessible controls though) or i can get plain box amplifiers that are designed to go above ceilings etc.

Hope that helps, when u need one, feel free to contact me.

Andy.

TOA are very good.

Inputs wise will depnd on the amp in question, but it will prtabably have about 5 mic inputs and maybe a couple of low level inputs. If your using a fast trace then its low level inputs you want, unless they also have a mic onsite

Yeah TOA are ok, their amp designs are a little dated and the cases match that, but they work and they are very simple to install and operate.

The only down side is that they still insist on using ^%&^(&$ useless DIN connectors and jack connectors on many of their productcs, where everyone else has moved with the times.

But they are still good amps and good prices.

As said above, you need to watch what inputs and outputs you are using. Ive seen an entire estate of car dealers wired in a way that should have really started blowing amps much quicker than it did, i spent days driving around the country correcting them after i discovered it. I offered to do some basic audio training for the engineers, but nothing was taken up! Thankfully i left them pretty quickly to start up on my own!

and no i wont mention any names!
