Guest Milan Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 Hi, Can anyone please advise how I can stop my alarm programme box from high-pitch bleeping about once every 30 secs x 24/7 ? I have a concept 6 alarm and about 3 weeks ago it started to bleep, similar to a fire alarm when the battery is running out. I have tried changing the battery...but to no avail. Milan.
Guest CHRISATBSS Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 YOU SAY YOU TRIED TO CHANGE THE BATTERY DID YOU MANAGE THIS OR NOT IF IT IS BEEPING I WOULD SAY YOU NEED A BATTERY IF YOU HAVE CHANGED THE BATTERY AND IS STILL BEEPING HAVE YOU CHECKED THE FUSE TO THE BATTERY. YOU SHOULD HAVE ABOUT 13.69VDC ON THE RED & BLACK LEEDS TO THE BATTERY CHECK THIS WITH THE BATTERY REMOVED. CHRIS FROM AXIS FIRE & SECURITY

Guest Milan Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 :P It isn't the intruder alarm..... Believe me, I'm an alarm engineer..... It is probably a smoke detector. I would put money on it... No definetely coming out of the Advanced Programme Control Box
bellman Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 No definetely coming out of the Advanced Programme Control Box Does the system have an autodialler? Some of those beep repeatedly when they need reprogramming after power failure. Def sounds like a smoke alarm battery gone flat though. Guest CHRISATBSS Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 cause harm if he has a meter its fare to say he has knowledge how to if he has no meter he cant do it so no harm done chris

Thanks Chris, All I did was take the old battery out, replace with a new one, closed the box and hoped that would work. There are two fuses one that says battery underneath it, that seems ok. There is a slot next to the transformer that charges the battery, has that got a fuse that may of blown that is causing the bleep ?
bellman Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 There are lethal voltages inside that control unit Service Engineer and all round nice bloke ) The views above are mine and NOT those of my employer.
