Hi Guys, I'm new to this forum.

Have just installed a 9853 and SD2 dialler. I found no connectors for the 2 x 8 pin plug-by comms comms pins on the 9853 board and wonder where these can be obtained.

Regards

Dave

Hi Dave,

the molex pins are for plug on PCB's (like digital communicators), so you will need an adapter board with relays on to allow hard wiring of the SD2.

to save this cost (and inconvenience) you can trip the SD2 from the Bell Output -VE, program the SD2 for Neg Trigger. my advice is to fit a 1.6k bias resistor (get from Maplins) from +VE to the trigger input to ensure proper switching of the input from Pos to Neg - and i just bet someone else will say you don't need that ressistor - but i'd spend a few more pence to be absolutely safe  .

Thanks for answers posted and I have now fixed the problem as you suggested above. And the SD2 triggers from either fire, PA or intruder, tests out ok.

Have a good Christmas everyone.

Kind regards

Dave
