Joaquim Posted December 28, 2006 Posted December 28, 2006 Hi, I need the manual of an old control panel named 'Active5' in order to replace the accumulator. Please send it to [edited - user manuals can be collected from a post link] Thanks, Joaquim
Guest rjbsec Posted December 28, 2006 Posted December 28, 2006 A user manual will not tell you how to replace an "accumulator" (?) and we do not supply engineering manuals.
mjw Posted December 28, 2006 Posted December 28, 2006 Hi,I need the manual of an old control panel named 'Active5' in order to replace the accumulator. Please send it to [edited in original post] Thanks, Joaquim Sorry dont have a manual for an active 5,but to be honest it would probably be a whole lot easier to replace whole panel as you said yourself it is of quite an age.. I am an engineer and have been in the industry for nearly 18 years and i have never once replaced a component on a board A user manual will not tell you how to replace an "accumulator" (?) and we do not supply engineering manuals. More to the point what is a accumulator??....transformer???
magpye Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 More to the point what is a accumulator??....transformer??? A voltaic battery that stores electric charge Synonym: Storage battery magpye Someone told me I was ignorant and apathetic, I don't know what that means, nor do I care.
Joaquim Posted December 29, 2006 Author Posted December 29, 2006 More to the point what is a accumulator??....transformer??? Replace "accumulator" by "storage battery". ps: The company that installed the system alarm no longer exists and other companies that I made contact with don't have technical manual of such old control panel. (Replace the battery) I talked with the previous house owner and he has no documentation about the system alarm. Any help will be appreciated.
Service Engineer Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 Could this "Active 5" be the same as the "Challenger 5"..? Challenger5User.pdf ........................................................ Dave Partridge (Romec Service Engineer)

No you can't I'm afraid, it's prohibited on this site to give out installer manuals - like it says on the top left of the forum header.
