luggsey Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 Just do a re-check on your PSU spec, look at it's duty cycle and has it got batteries fitted? Some PSU figures are maximim output "without" the battery load and at 50% duty cycle. You may simply be over driving the PSU without realising it.... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Life is like a box of chocolates, some bugger always gets the nice ones! Doktor Jon Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 Scott, Preferably on a bench, try using a higher current output single regulated PSU, perhaps 1.5 or 2 amp, and put a test meter on the +12v input to the camera. Run the camera with the lens removed (and unplugged), check the input voltage, then force the camera to changeover to B/W and see what happens to the voltage reading (make a note of displacement, recovery time etc.). Allow the camera to revert to colour mode and take note of what happens with the filter mechanism (is it slow / laboured, cranky etc.) From what you've said so far, I'd still tend to think that it's probably an issue connected with the mechanical filter changeover.
