Guest Guest_Allan Posted February 24, 2004 Posted February 24, 2004 Having lokked in the control panel to see which wires go to the flush contact on the door I now have a tamper light indication on the control panel - The user manual says contact the installer (who are now no longer in business) How do I reset / remove the tamper indication from my control panel (Scantronic 9448) - Thanks in anticipation Allan
Steve K Posted February 24, 2004 Posted February 24, 2004 Try entering your user number and pressing enter. If not try 99 and then enter. If this doesn't work call an engineer! What model of 9448 do you have? Guest Guest_Allan Posted February 24, 2004 Posted February 24, 2004 Steve the control panel just has 9448 on the front and is 5 years old according to the Neighbours Have tried the user number and enter but on the walkthrough test the tamper light relights and the intrnal sounder is intrmitant Allan
breff Posted February 24, 2004 Posted February 24, 2004 If tamper only comes on during walk test, it sounds like you've got zone and tamper pairs mixed up and instead of indicating an active zone its coming up tamper. Glenn The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not)
Guest Guest_Allan Posted February 25, 2004 Posted February 25, 2004 I Have been advised that I need to put in the engineers code as this is not available (they have ceased trading) the other alterntive is to reset and reprogramme the system to factory setting Any help would be appreciaated Allan
morph Posted February 25, 2004 Posted February 25, 2004 Open the panel and put two links across the offending zone. Close the panel and try and set it. If the system works okay then it is the wiring to the door that is wrong. REMEMBER THERE IS MAINS ELECTRICITY IN THE PANEL and it can KIll Colin.
