whistle Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 Can you still get the sterling 10 ?? We fit 9651 EN for under 8 zone domestic's and have fitted 100's never had one faulty yet.
gladiator Posted January 15, 2007 Author Posted January 15, 2007 What the major difference between being NSI registered and SSAIB? I think I will be going with the CP8L panel and v40q detectors. Is getting a dialler worth the extra cost? quoted
james.wilson Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 very little between nsi silver and ssaib very little between nsi gold and ssaib with iso securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
gladiator Posted January 15, 2007 Author Posted January 15, 2007 I had another company call out but its been a week since they came and not sent through their quote - (NSI gold). It seems that the SSAIB companies offer their systems slightly cheaper - is this something to be wary about?

You will get a quality service from either side and we all use the same equipment to one degree or another.
gladiator Posted January 16, 2007 Author Posted January 16, 2007 I am also going for a speech dialler installed with the CP8L -a texecom speech dialler model. Is it best to have a separate speech dialler or go for a panel with one built in? (do these panels exist?
james.wilson Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 external dialers will be more flexiblr in your budget, you can get panels with dialers but not very common securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
gladiator Posted January 16, 2007 Author Posted January 16, 2007 Just like to say thanks to everyone on this forum for your advice. Its a great forum. I was wondering that in the not too distant future will wireless alarms become the norm when installing into domestic situations as the technology improves?
Adi Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 Wireless is improving, but it still has a long way to go and the price of good equipment needs to fall quite a bit to make it a realistic option for the majority of customers. I think the equipment reliability is good. They now have some decent looking pirs. If the programming was more like a hardwired system it would be a dam site better. And as you say cost. I really can't be ar**** with it anymore.
