dm360
Thanks for taking the time to read this. I am back because the advice I received last time was very helpful - thank you. Currently, my alarm is almost fully installed. However, upon mounting the bellbox, when I apply the link to connect the battery, I get a constant sounding of the bell box. Even with everything else in place and all Tampers closed and covers on (he says) I still get the Bell box sounding. The only way to stop it is to remove the battery link. I also have a flashing tamper light, I guess indicating a break the tamper loop, I have checked the Tampers and all seems good. They are wired in series. Any thoughts pls? Thanks DM360

Thanks DM360 hi DM, re-consult your manuals for the siren and comtrol panel, as we can't give you deep diagnostic advice as it could be used by felons to overcome a siren. if you can't solve it then best for you to invite an engineer in your local area to contact you, any decent one should be able to fix this in under 10 minutes from drinking his/her cup of tea might be worth asking his opinion on what you have done o get your money's worth. regs alan If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!! james.wilson
im assuming you have bought this stuff and are fitting it yourself. As its the main signalling device detailed info (as arfur states) cannot be given on this forum. Maybe a call to where you got the stuff from? securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount. As its the main signalling device detailed info (as arfur states) cannot be given on this forum. Maybe a call to where you got the stuff from? Yes that's correct I brought it from a local security shop while I was rennovating my house. In the future, there is no doubt that I would get a professional company in to do it, I have, in essence, bit off more than I can chew. But I have laid the wire myself, wired the control box, fitted the sensors, mounted the Bellbox and followed good electrical practice, I am reasonably experienced amateur builder with a degree in engineering, I have rennovated my whole house and everything has gone well, so what I am trying to say is that I am not just a 'have a goer'. I suspect that at this stage, getting a professional in, will be problematic as they will probably not like the way things have been done, albeit safe. I suspect this is a very straight forward problem - just frustrating to be so close!! I understand the problem with posting sensitive infomation - I shall try the C&K techincal line, the shop and then perhaps seek the help of a professional.
