MILLWALLFC Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 I did a backup to a DVD to see what the quality would be like playing back but its not very good the picture seems very noise i wonder if i have some settings wrong or this is what happens when you backup to a DVD. It creates a file named DVR-04CH.AJP with a webplayer. I would like to upload so others can see but will you be able to play and let me know what you tihnk of quality. I am going to upload to a server now and will put a link on soon.
Guest Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Does it match normal playback quality when viewed from the DVR or remote software?

MILLWALLFC Posted January 17, 2007 Author Posted January 17, 2007 when watching on the TV the picture is OK not fantastic. But the recording is worse once backed up onto disk or when played accross the network.
Guest Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 See, wasn't that hard a question was it. If it's not great when viewing on a monitor then it sounds more like the cameras than the burning process are the culprit. From what I've seen of the JPEG2000 machines the network view and backup copies have been identical and these have been of slightly lower quality than live view, but not to the extent where I would call them noisy or unusable. I haven't used a DVR yet that can match network viewing to live view quality.
