Service Engineer Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Here's another sample showing night time recorded playback from over the wireless network, Directly recorded onto the PC. Both cameras aren't too good at night, and the worst of the two is supposedly a Day/Night sony super had camera of 420TVL resolution. Illumination is by a 70 Watt sodium flood. http://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/Uploads/2007.avi And this one's from late last year showing daytime playback, viewed over the network and recorded to pc. http://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/Uploads/2006.avi ........................................................ Service Engineer Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Oh yours is fuzzy to at night. Yeah, it's not great... But I suspect the reason my end to be a lighting issue. I get totally different results using a 520TVL B&W camera... ........................................................ Dave Partridge (Romec Service Engineer)
Taylormade Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Yeah, it's not great... But I suspect the reason my end to be a lighting issue.I get totally different results using a 520TVL B&W camera... You could try using one of the new external dome cameras from Genie , they have a "digital noise reduction" feature built in which increases picture quality at night, and also extends record time as the picture doesnt use as much space to record as it is easie to compress.
MILLWALLFC Posted January 23, 2007 Author Posted January 23, 2007 Jus having a quick read about the Humbug http://www.tectonrd.demon.co.uk/humbug.html Do you just add this to where the DVR box is. e.g. camera from camer plug in Humbug get another BNC cable plug that in to hunbug and then DVR. Can you let us know where you got it form and the additional cable as i may try one to see if it improve any of the cameras. If it does can you have them on every camera ?
