Most laptops don't need any screws undoing to remove the battery. Have a look here: http://www.uktsupport.co.uk/advent/laptop/7001.htm If it looks like that you just slide the latch and pull the battery out

amateurandy Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Sorry im a weirdo, i meant the cmos battery. Take it to the PC Doctor! If you really want to do it yourself you'll need a manual to see how to open it up without damaging anything, and the battery is probably under the keyboard. Why do you think that's the problem anyway?
Adi Posted January 23, 2007 Author Posted January 23, 2007 Because every time i start i have to go into settings reset the date before it will start and have been told its that battery. You agree? I really can't be ar**** with it anymore.
hullofaplace Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 BE CAREFUL! QFA I did get advice first from an expert before i removed the cover.
WatchdogSecurity Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 You will need the service manual, as some have to lift the keyboard up and some require the bottom taking off. Watchdog Security (Manchester)
