binthere Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 Sorry about continuing the saga BUT the following is worth knowing. After suffering months of **** with talktalk they eventually exchanged the modem and for the last 3 weeks all has been fine until today whilst using the net we suffered a power cut all the setting had been lost. After 6 phone calls to India 50% I could not understand the staff and all were on a bad line which eventually cut off without warning I again went balistic with talktalk here and spoke to their special trouble shooters team (That must be enormous) they advised me that if the modem is on line when the mains is cut the modem loses its memory and I need to remove the prog from the computer and completly re install !!!! They did agree that it would be a good idea to give a warning about this !! The only thing I can say they are getting a bit better.
Guest Posted January 26, 2007 Posted January 26, 2007 Is there a reason you keep putting this in trade? Could we not just put it all in the IT\Telecoms section?
