arfur mo
Hio All, i discovered from an article in my local free newspaper that as from the 1st Jan 2007, you most include details of you companies address and contact details along with phone, fax numbers. also you registered office address on you web site and in all buisness emails, this as you can guess attracts a fine if you don't. as i had never heard of it, i thought others might have missed it to. you can put this info in the 'boiler plate' at the foot of emails, and i suggest you modify your templates pronto. regs alan If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!! Chorlton
Hi arfur I believe this has always been law for sole traders, they should state something like: "Cheap as Chips security is a trading name of Sir () Arfur Mo, 123 High Street, The Town, Anywhere, AB1 4FU. On all adverts, websites, business card, compliment slips, jobsheets etc. The biggest change to business websites was the disabled discrimination act (DDA) which requires them to be written/made in such a way that they can be accessed by the disabled which I asume means those with vision problems i.e registered blind??? I may be completely wrong though! Chris.
Guest
The fact it was in your local "free" paper suggests it is probably incorrect. If it is correct I assume it would have been made common knowledge for a long time, anyway who if anyone reads other people's emails???? Who would know?? Who would be bothered?? Who would take action?? Imagine going to court for such a matter, sorry my lord I forgot to include my web site in my email, !! lock me up. You are correct, voice readers, the ability to change text size, colours of text on backgrounds. Its a complete minefield. Most people that create their own websites will use frames or tables, these will almost instantly cause the page to be non accessable.

arfur mo
doesnt matter really arf / select we have had debates about it before, does everyone just do what they want and wait till they get caught? hi James, the article gave the new law date starting on 1st Jan '07, suggesting 'hefty fines'and was in the 'Yellow Advertiser' 25th Jan edition. the paper is published by www.isEssex.co.uk, but i could not locate the article on line. i don't run a web site, and those that do may already be aware of these laws, i'm not arguing then just mentioned for others to be aware and/or expand on. regs alan If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!! I've had 2 complaints about the coloured dot thing on my extinguisher page http://www.firebreak.co.uk/fb61f/index.php?id=54 not being compliant but I've also had 10 people say it is very smart. I can only please one person a day, today is not your day so take number and wait in line was my response, as I went to the same customers services class at school as Gordon Ramsey. Chris. You have to do it on your printed correspondence anyway, it's just an extension of that.
