martc
Joined a while back and found the site very useful and interesting. I did an electronics apprenticeship ( early nineties) with a small company that designed manufactured and installed Datacomms, security products and control panels, We did alot of alert systems in schools and care homes and some domestic systems (Gardiner and FM Electronics systems) also spent alot of time installing and maintaining control panels on ready mix concrete sites, nice enviroment for electronics! For the last five years have been working for a building refurbishment company doing mainly domestic electrical installation work also worked a few weekends for a Electrical contractor working in chicken factories, nice I would like to get in to the security installation industry so I am thinking of going to Tavcom to get up to speed with latest regs and equipment. Would like any advice on how to get a foot in the door, list of qualifications below.
