I have an alrm installed but I dont know what type it is , all it says on the box is Optima , it looks pretty dated . Since I moved in I've never used it but after reading the forum it sounds like it may need a new battery as I switched the power off the other day and the bell started rining . Does anyone know what type of Optima it may be ?

Thanks

black and red membrane?

if so one of the old optima's probably about 15 yrs old, might be more than a new battery mate. Id check the panel fully

yes I think it is black and red .

Nah, Logic 4 was key operated....... At least the Optima had buttons.

i thought the logic was key based too. The optima was the keypad version.

I'm talking 17 years ago, pre optima Logic was browny blacky membrane with orangey lines I think. Twos dropped pretty quick for the rubbery button type because of the **** membrane that broke on all of them.
