w14a Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 Hi, Situation: 1. Right in front (0m) of building's wall must be set detectable zone (say, W10xL2 meters), like bit thicker curtain. 2. Will be used usual outdoor PIR (say, Optex LX402 or another, combined with MW) 3. Height of PIR - not less than 4m 4. Would be nice to use same PIR's on whole perimeter, keeping in mind that other PIR's will form different coverage zones. Is this true: In order to simply set such coverage zone, is needed just to place PIR at say,~H6m, tilt it -45 degrees and adjust area masking strips on a lens. Dear experts, is such manipulation good enough for the task? Have you got another idea? Many thanks for your support!
james.wilson Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 if your wanting to get a curtain detector. it a much better idea to buy a curtain rather than mask a wide angle. We use the redwall detectors and what you want i think is a 404 (40m x 4m) they do bigger ones (upto 180m) but unlikly you need this James ps they have no mw. But optex make a version with mw in securitywarehouse Security Supplies from Security Warehouse Trade Members please contact us for your TSI vetted trade discount.
