PThomas Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 I am looking for a camera for my front drive, we live in a small culdesac in a quiet neighbourhood. Drive extends from front door for approx 10m to culdesac road. Priority is general monitoring of two cars, secondary picking up somebody walking down side of house or to front door. Street light only 15m away from house and garden/drive will be covered by dawn/dusk low wattage light as well as 2x75w spotlights with PIR. Budget around

akpak Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 If the area is well lit, by your PIR activated lights, at the times you will be looking to record you may not need an IR camera - make sure the camera you do choose offers a low minimum illumination though. I think a 3.6mm or 4mm lens will cover that area fine. Alan http://www.pakatak.co.uk
